Whoever abets any offence under this Act, if the act abetted is committed in consequence of the abetment, shall be punished with the punishment provided for that offence. 1[Explanation.—For the purposes of this section, the expression “abetment” shall have the same meaning as assigned to it in Section 107 of the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860).]
