Corrections Policy

We aim for complete fidelity to the Court's record. When we get something wrong, we fix it.

The judgment text is the Court’s own

What we publish as the judgment is a reproduction of the document as the Supreme Court issued it. We do not rewrite it, paraphrase it, or take it from a law report. Where our reproduction departs from the Court’s own record, that is an error and we correct it.

What we correct

The headnotes, questions and answers and case summaries are written by us, and so are ours to get right — the statement of the issue, the holding, the principle, the citation, the party names, the date, the coram and the paragraph references. If any of it misstates what the Court actually held, tell us and we will put it right.

How to report an error

Every judgment page carries a button to flag an error, which is the quickest route. You can also write to admin@lexstreak.in with the case name, the page address and the correction sought. Reports are read and reviewed at the earliest.

How we correct

Verified errors are fixed on the page itself. Where a correction changes the meaning of a headnote or an answer, we append a dated note at the foot of that page recording what changed. The judgment text itself is never rewritten — we reproduce the Court’s document as issued.

Who is responsible

Editorial responsibility for corrections rests with the LexStreak Editorial Desk.
