1. Acceptance
By creating an account, starting a free trial, subscribing, or otherwise using the LexStreak app and the website at lexstreak.in (together, the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. The Platform is operated by its promoter, Valarmathi B. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
The Platform is intended for advocates, in-house counsel, other legal professionals and law students. You must be at least 18 years of age and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
3. The service
LexStreak provides daily curated judgments, plain-language head notes, question-and-answer study prompts, a Bare Acts library, saved judgments, and reading streaks. The content is provided for information and study.
4. No legal advice
The content, including head notes, summaries and AI-assisted Points of Law (question-and-answer content), is for general information only. It does not constitute legal advice, and no advocate-client or other professional relationship is created by your use of the Platform. AI features may contain errors. Always verify content against the official primary sources and apply your own professional judgment before relying on it.
5. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. Accounts are personal to you and may not be shared, sold or transferred.
6. Plans and pricing
Core Plan: Rs.30/month (introductory; original Rs.90) — up to 12 head notes and 25 Points of Law per day, Bare Acts, up to 25 saved judgments and the daily digest; PDF downloads are not included. Pro Plan: Rs.70/month (introductory; original Rs.250) — all Core features plus unlimited head notes and Points of Law, full text and PDF downloads, alerts, citations and priority Points of Law. Yearly plans: Yearly Core Rs.300 (original Rs.1,080) and Yearly Pro Rs.750 (original Rs.3,000). All prices are in INR; introductory prices are promotional and may change on renewal with notice.
7. Free trial and automatic conversion
New users receive a 3-day free trial with all features unlocked; users who join through a valid referral invite receive an 8-day free trial. Starting a trial requires a UPI AutoPay mandate. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it automatically converts to the paid plan you selected, and the applicable fee is charged. One trial per user.
8. Yearly plan eligibility (reading streak)
Yearly plans unlock only for users who achieve a 20-day reading streak — that is, genuinely reading at least one judgment on each of 20 consecutive days (measured in IST). Eligibility is determined solely by our server records and is re-verified at purchase. It is not a waiting period; a broken streak resets the count. We may withhold or revoke yearly eligibility where we detect automated or artificial activity.
9. Billing and auto-renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically each cycle through your UPI AutoPay mandate until cancelled. A pre-debit notification is sent before each charge, as required by RBI rules. All payments are processed by our payment gateway; we do not collect or store your card, bank or UPI credentials — only a tokenised reference and status.
10. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation stops future renewals and your access continues until the end of the paid period. Please see our Cancellation & Refund Policy. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
11. Referral programme ("Invite & Benefit")
You may invite others with a unique link. The invited person receives an 8-day free trial; you receive one month of free access when they subscribe to a paid plan. Rewards are subject to anti-fraud checks. Self-referrals, duplicate accounts and automated sign-ups are prohibited and may result in forfeiture of rewards and account action.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to copy, scrape or bulk-download content; share, resell or redistribute content or your account; use bots to inflate streaks, XP or referrals; reverse engineer or interfere with the Platform; or use it unlawfully.
13. Intellectual property
Judgments are public records. However, LexStreak’s curation, head notes, summaries, Points of Law, compilations, software, design and trademarks are owned by or licensed to LexStreak and protected by law. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Platform for your own professional or educational use.
14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including as to accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the three months preceding the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
16. Grievances and changes
Grievances may be addressed to grievance@lexstreak.in and will be acknowledged and resolved within the timelines prescribed by law. We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be notified, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
